Ask a Sex Abuse Survivor comes to Richmond

Fear darker-emotions-1433945Michael Broussard will be bringing his interactive show “Ask a Sex Abuse Survivor” to the Firehouse Theatre in Richmond on 9/10/15 for an 8pm performance. The show utilizes an innovative mix of storytelling, audience participation and improvisation to spark a real time conversation on the effects of sexual abuse on children and adult survivors.
Broussard has presented and performed this show for more than a year.  It has been received positively.
This interactive one-man show addresses the topic of childhood sexual abuse in an “out of the box” manner which is both raw and honest.  Broussard is mindful that audience members may be triggered by some aspect of the show and has always ensured that clinicians are available during the show.
Melanie Gardner of The Creative Arts Space, LLC is honored to volunteer her time and clinical expertise to assist those in need.  She will be on hand during and after the show to help with individuals who may be triggered.
“Ask a Sex Abuse Survivor” is presented in partnership with the National Association of Adult Survivors of Child Abuse http://www.naasca.org/
